Hospitality Shaped by the Pace of Travel
Phimai House was built around a simple idea — that the hours between flights deserve the same care as the journey itself.
← Back to HomeOur Story
Phimai House opened quietly on Maharat Road in Krabi after its founders spent years watching tired travellers search for somewhere simple to rest near the airport. The guesthouse grew from a single house into a thoughtfully arranged property — one that keeps noise low, rooms clean and welcome warm.
The name comes from a small family village upcountry. That sense of household calm — tea on the table, a soft bed, someone at the door — is exactly what we carry into each guest stay, whether you are with us for four hours or the better part of a day.
Today Phimai House looks after solo travellers on long connections, couples arriving late from Europe, families pausing mid-journey and business guests with early-morning departures. The common thread is that every guest leaves feeling a little more settled than when they arrived.
Our Mission
We believe that a short stay near the airport should feel as thoughtful as any destination. Our mission is to give every traveller — for a few hours or a full day — a space that is clean, quiet and looked after by people who genuinely notice the details.
Care in Every Detail
Fresh linen, a properly made bed, a working kettle — the small things that make a room feel like it was prepared for you, not just cleaned after someone else.
Calm as a Standard
No lobby music, no busy restaurant below your floor. We keep the property quiet so that guests who need to sleep at midday can do so without interruption.
Honest, Unhurried Service
We will not pressure you to upgrade or check out early. Your room is yours for the time you booked, and our team is available whenever you need something.
The People at Phimai House
A small team who know the property well and who treat every guest with the same quiet attentiveness.
Nantawan Srikham
Proprietor & Host
Nantawan founded Phimai House and oversees the guest experience personally. She handles room standards with the kind of attention that only comes from caring about the place you run.
Prawit Charoenwong
Front Desk & Shuttle
Prawit manages the day-to-day rhythm at the desk and coordinates all shuttle runs. Guests with an early departure know they can trust him to have the car ready without a reminder.
Malee Anuwong
Housekeeping Lead
Malee and her small team prepare every room personally. She has a particular eye for the small things — the towel fold, the pillow placement — that make a room feel ready.
How We Look After Our Guests
The standards we keep — not because they are required, but because they make a stay genuinely worth having.
Guest Privacy
Room numbers are not shared with third parties. Housekeeping enters only with prior permission and never during an occupied rest period without a knock and a pause.
Room Preparation
Each room is cleaned and inspected before every guest. Fresh linen, sanitised surfaces and a working shower are non-negotiable — not aspirational targets.
Shuttle Safety
Our shuttle vehicles are maintained regularly and driven by experienced, licensed drivers who know the route to Krabi Airport in all conditions.
Safety Equipment
Fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and clearly marked exit routes are maintained and tested. Our team knows the procedures and guests are briefed on request.
Luggage Security
Stored luggage is kept in a designated, locked area monitored by reception. Items are tagged and returned only to the guest who dropped them off.
Guest Feedback
We read every review and act on the details that matter. When something is not right, we would rather hear it from the guest than from a review board.
Krabi Airport Accommodation — A Different Kind of Stop
Most airport guesthouses treat a layover as an inconvenience to be processed. At Phimai House in Krabi, we see it differently. The hours a traveller spends between flights can be recovered time — a chance to shower properly, eat something warm, sleep on a real bed and arrive at the next gate feeling like themselves again.
Our property on Maharat Road has been shaped by the rhythms of Krabi Airport — early-morning international departures, late-night arrivals from Bangkok, long connection windows for guests heading to the islands. We have seen what travellers need and we have tried, carefully, to provide exactly that: no more, no less.
Whether a guest is with us for six hours or the better part of a day, the same level of care applies. The room is the same quality, the welcome is the same warmth, and the shuttle runs on time regardless of the hour. That consistency is what we consider our standard — and the reason many guests come back on their next trip through Krabi.
